Lava arrives to India with new ‘Icon’ Smartphone for Rs 11,990

NEW DELHI: Lava arrived to India with the new Icon Smartphone priced at Rs 11,990. It is available exclusively on Snapdeal.com starting.

Sporting a 5-inch HD IPS display, the device comes powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core ARM Mali 400 MP2 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The display features 550 Cd/m2 brightness and an Asahi Dragon-trail Glass that adds scratch resistance.

The 7.7mm thick Smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat with a layer of the company’s Star UI on top of it. On the camera front, the device comes fitted with a 13-megapixel rear snapper with dual-LED flash, Sony’s Exmor sensor with 5P lens and a blue glass filter. With the F2.0 aperture in rear camera lens and F2.4 aperture in front camera lens, Icon’s camera claims to capture 27% more light under low light conditions.

It also comes with a 5-megapixel front camera with Omni Vision sensor, F2.4 aperture, 4P lens, BSI-II sensor with blue glass filter. The blue glass filter helps protect the sensitive image sensor against overexposure in the infrared wavelength range. The camera also comes with Face beauty mode, Face Detection, HDR, Panorama Mode, Smile Shot and more.

The connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, micro-USB and Bluetooth. A 2500mAh Li-Pol battery completes the package. It promises up to 20 hours of talk time on 2G and up to 9 hours of talk time on 3G.
