LAHORE: Lawyers’ across the country observed a black day on Tuesday against suicide attack on Shabqadar, Charsadda Court and did not take part in any proceeding as a protest.
Sources informed Customs Today that Pakistan Bar Council announced to observe complete strike to condemn the suicide attack. Due to boycott by the lawyers, at least 19 cases in the Special Federal Customs Court were adjourned for new dates. These cases include pre-arrest bail, post arrest bail pleas and recording of statements of suspects.
It is pertinent to mention here that a suicide attacker was attempting to enter in district court as security personnel, who was identified as Shabbir, intercepted him outside the court’s premises, which prompted him to blow himself up in court premises. At least 16 people, including three police personnel were killed in suicide attack.
