LAHORE: The lawyers across the country boycotted the courts’ proceedings on Thursday after completion of one month of Quetta carnage.
A number of cases which were scheduled for hearing adjourned in the customs court because of boycott by the lawyers.
The lawyers held demonstrations and demanded immediate arrest of the suspects. The Lahore High Court Bar Association has also announced boycott of the courts proceedings. The Punjab Bar Council (PBC) also declared boycott in the province of Punjab.
It is pertinent to mention here that around 70 people were killed and dozens wounded in a suicide attack targeting lawyers and journalists on August 8, 2016 in Quetta.
