Lawyers boycott court proceedings to condemn Gulshan-e-Iqbal blast

LAHORE: Lawyers across the country observed a black day on Monday to condemn the Gulshan-e-Iqbal suicide attack in which 72 people, including children and women were killed.

the Pakistan Bar Council, Punjab Bar Council, Lahore High Court bar and other lawyers’ communities announced to observe complete strike to condemn the suicide attack. Due to boycott, at least 17 cases in the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling were adjourned for new dates. These cases include pre-arrest bail, post arrest bail pleas and recording of statements of suspects.
