LAHORE: The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) on Wednesday boycotted courts proceedings to protest against suicide attack on Quetta Police Training College in which more than 61 persons were killed.
Lawyers of customs court offered prayers for the martyred of Quetta tragedy. Customs court lawyer Ijaz Bhatti advocate while talking to Customs Today said that the lawyers community is standing with victim families.
The lawyers’ community protested in all provinces to condemn the carnage and express solidarity with bereaved families. The Lahore High Court Bar Association and the Punjab Bar Council (PBC) also observed protest against the Quetta tragedy.
Earlier on Monday night heavily-armed militants wearing suicide vests stormed a police academy in Quetta, killing at least 61 people and wounding dozens more, Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti described it one of the deadliest militant attacks this year.
Three gunmen burst into the sprawling academy, targeting sleeping quarters home to some 700 recruits, and sent terrified young men aged between 15 and 25 fleeing.
