Proceedings at the Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling also halted due to the boycott of lawyers in Lahore. No lawyer was present in the court, due to which the court adjourned all the scheduled cases until the next dates.

At the Customs Court and other court, lawyers boycotted the proceedings on the appeal of the Punjab Bar Council (PBC).

Lawyers also observed a strike in other cities of the country and resolutions condemning the police brutality were also passed by the associations of various bar councils.

The legal fraternity has demanded that the government should bring the killers to justice.

On Monday, more than 45 cases in Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling were adjourned due to the unavailability of lawyers.
