LCCI launches FM 98.6 Radio for overseas Pakistanis

LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has achieved another milestone by putting its Radio FM 98.6 on its website.

LCCI President Ijaz A. Mumtaz has formally launched the LCCI FM Radio website in a prestigious ceremony here at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This step would enable Pakistanis living abroad to listen to the LCCI activities at any time. The LCCI initiative would not only educate and inform the LCCI members and public at large about the latest business developments, but would also help improve Pakistan’s perception in the eyes of international community as the FM 98.6 is available throughout the world.

Speaking on the occasion, the LCCI President Ijaz A. Mumtaz said that economic giants around the globe have used modern technology as a tool for the incredible progress therefore we have to adopt such ways to come at par with the developed countries.

LCCI President said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry is focusing to equip its member with the advanced technology which ensures easy access to information, encourages innovation and creativity and improves communication.

“Up-to-date technology also helps increase industrial production and saves a lot of time and money” Ijaz A. Mumtaz said.

He said that the very objective of the LCCI FM Radio Website was to promote business activities in virtual global space of internet. He said that that this initiative would help LCCI members and business community to know about latest happenings in the business world.

He said that role of mass media, including radio, TV, newspaper and internet, is of prime importance for all businesses and by acknowledging media significance LCCI first started LCCI Radio (FM 98.6) and now LCCI FM Radio Website is launched.

He asked business community to come forward and share their valuable input and make this initiative another feather in LCCI cap.

Ijaz A. Mumtaz said that the LCCI FM Radio Website would promote the businesses sector of Pakistan at international level. He said that sector specialists and top notch businessmen would be invited to various kinds of talk shows to highlight impediments coming in the way of their promotion.

He said that LCCI FM Radio Website is a part of well thought out strategy of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is aimed at guiding the businessmen on available business opportunities in various sectors of the economy.
