NEW DELHI: Lenovo A5000 is now available for purchase online from the company’s website. The smartphone has been priced at Rs.9, 999. As the name suggests, the device is the latest addition to the A series of smartphones by the company.
Previously, it had been launched in Russia. Pre-orders for the device from Lenovo’s The DoStore can now be made. The shipping date of the device has been listed as April 30.
A standout feature of the device is a massive 4000mAh battery, which is expected to deliver a talk time of 17 hours along with standby time of 792 hours on 3G. Another unique feature is the Quick Charge feature, using which one can fully charge the phone in three hours, and enjoys 4 hours of talk time after a 15 minute charge.
The dual-sim smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel density of 300ppi. Other features include 1GB RAM, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, 8GB inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card to 32GB, 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera.
Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, and WWi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS / A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. The device will be available in the colours Black and White.
