Lenovo reveals 538,096 people registered to take part in flash sale of K3 Note

NEW DELHI: Lenovo and Flipkart would hold the first sale of the Lenovo K3 Note today. But ahead of the sale the Chinese phone company revealed that 538,096 people have registered to take part in the flash sale that will start at 3PM on Flipkart.

The K3 Note was launched in India last month. It is a phone that, at least on paper, improves on the already impressive Lenovo A7000. Considering the fairly-fast hardware inside it, the K3 Note is also very aggressively priced. It uses Mediatek’s MT6752 processor, has 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and supports 4G connectivity. It also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and, in a first for a budget phone, a screen that has FullHD resolution.

The K3 Note is priced at Rs.9, 999.

Lenovo says that K3 Note comes with Dolby Atmos sound technology, something that we also saw in the company’s A7000. The K3 Note will be available in Onyx Black (with matte finish), Pearl White and Laser Yellow colours.

The budget smartphone segment, particularly the sub-Rs.10, 000, has become immensely competitive in the last one year. Chinese companies like Xiaomi and Lenovo have entered the fray to compete with the likes of Motorola. Micromax too has joined this segment with its Yu-branded phones.

For long the Yu Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G have ruled this segment. But with A7000, Lenovo made its presence felt. The company now believes that with the K3 it can go for the kill and hence is focussed on giving consumers top hardware at very aggressive prices.
