Lenovo to introduce its new A7000 budget 4G smartphone in India at price less than Rs 10,000

NEW DELHI: Lenovo will introduce its new A7000 budget 4G smartphone in India at a price less than Rs 10,000 to compete Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and YU Yureka.

According to sources, the phone will be priced between Rs 8,999 to Rs 9,999. Lenovo has already sent ‘back your date’ invites to the media for a launch event scheduled on April 7. Interestingly, the event will take place at Dolby Atmos sound equipped movie theatre.

The smartphone, initially unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, is the first commercial device to feature Dolby Atmos technology.

The A7000 has 5.5-inch 720p IPS display, is 7.9mm thick and weighs 140gm. The smartphone runs on a 1.5GHz MediaTek octa-core processor. It has an 8MP autofocus camera on the back and a 5MP front-facing camera.

The smartphone comes with 8GB internal storage with 2GB RAM. There’s dual/micro SIM, and a micro SD card slot that supports up to 32GB. The phone has a 2900mAh replaceable battery. A7000 will run the latest version of Google’s Android operating system, Lollipop, out of the box.

Connectivity options supported by the phone include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and Cat 4 4G LTE.
