This is LG’s first leather and Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera feature Smartphone, which was unveiled by LG India’s brand ambassador Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan on Friday in Mumbai.

“This fashionable and premium Smartphone is more focused on delivering a balanced user experience. With LG G4, we are giving our users a truly human centric device that combined the analog sensibilities with technologies that deliver real world performance. The LG G4 is by far the most ambitious phone from LG,” said Soon Kwon, Managing Director, and LG India.

Speaking to The Hindu Mr. Kwon said the company was expecting to sell over one lakh LG G4 phones in India as the initial response from consumers has been encouraging.

“Currently, we have 5 per cent market share in the overall Smartphone market in India and with the newly introduced LG G4 and leveraging on this we expect to double our market share to 10 per cent. Globally, this phone was launched April this year and we have received tremendous response. We are confident to create a similar success story in India,” Mr. Kwon said.

One of the major strengths of LG G4 is the superior picture quality delivered by its 16MP camera.

“The LG G4 camera features a rare-in-Smartphones F1.8 aperture lens which allows 80 per cent more light to hit the image sensor than in the LG G3,” the company said.

LG India has tied up with HDFC Bank its enable its customers to buy this phone through equated monthly installments (EMI).

In India LG G4 will be launched with dual-SIM feature along with 4G LTE that shall support all 4G networks in India
