LONDON: LG has started rolling out its new Android Marshmallow update to European markets. Australia is not far behind.
The LG G4 is a premium flagship class phone. It has iTWire’s highly commended rating for what is the runner up to the Samsung S6 series – it has some compelling features such as a distinctive leather back, removable battery, microSD card, and a very good camera.
Android M as it is called is already on Google’s Nexus 5, 6, 7, and 9 devices and is reputed to extend battery life considerably with its new doze mode. It also gives the already powerful device a performance boost. LG has also announced that it will also roll it out for its G3.
The update is 1.55 GB and can be installed over the air (OTA) or from LG Bridge – its PC sync software.
LG is waiting for its Australian carriers to approve and modify the update – these often include new home screens, lock-ins, preferred apps and more.
