LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) sought reply from JWD Sugar Mill in Rs 420 million income tax case on 16 December. The mills owned by the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leader Jahingir Tareen.
According to the details, Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza of Lahore High Court heard the case filed by the appellant Jahingir Tareen, before the court appellant Jahingir Tareen argued before the court that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sent tax notice to him of amounting 420 million that is illegal.
Added more that he paid all taxes and liabilities payable by him besides this, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) send notice of 420 million. He appealed before the court that he may null and void the tax notice by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
On the other side, the answer submitted by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) with the arguments that, after the accurate audit of the case of JWD sugar mill FBR send notice for tax recovery, court may suspend the appeal of the appellant Jahingir Tareen.
After hearing the arguments from both sides Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned the case and seeks answer on the answer from the Jahingir Treen on 16 December.
