LAHORE: Lahore High Court single bench admitted 110 plea filed against the establishment of Punjab Revenue Authority, chairman and its functioning.
Sources told Customs Today that Punjab Revenue Authority also filed an intra-court appeal through advocate Malik Owais in which it says that LHC single bench admitted these pleas after crossing its legal limits. He adopted the stance that according to section 199 of the constitution court is bound not to interfere in the matters of government.
He pleaded to court that Punjab Revenue Authority is functioning legally and can collect taxes. He said that only assembly is authorised to amend any rule and clause in PRA laws. He prayed to court to declare the verdict of single bench of LHC as null and void.
