LHC approves Ayyan’s bail plea, orders her release

LAHORE: The super model Ayyan Ali felt relieved on Tuesday after the Lahore High Court has ordered her release on bail. A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court approved Ayyan’s plea and ordered her release on bail.

According to details, Ayyan was arrested by the Customs officials from Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad, in March 2015 on charges of smuggling $500,000 abroad. Since then, she was being held at Adiala Jail.

Sardar Lateef Khosa was defense counsel of Ayan Ali argued before the Court that she was not being smuggled that money but it was about hand over to his brother who got some late. He said that she has visited more than 21 times to other countries. Lawyers from Customs said that she was making an attempt to smuggle huge money and she had no “NOC” for that.

Later the Court accepted her bail and ordered to release her from jail.
