LHC decides case: FBR withdraws Rs480 million advance tax notices from WAPDA

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has decided the case of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) after the withdrawal of advance tax notice from the FBR.

According to the details, Justice Shahid Waheed heard the case in which the counsel of appellant argued before the court that on the orders of Lahore High Court (LHC) was exempted Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) from the taxation.

Besides the orders of Lahore High Court (LHC), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sent Rs480 million advance tax notices.

On the other side the advocate of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) argued before the court that FBR withdrawal notice from the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and exempted from the taxation. After hearing the arguments from the counsel of FBR, LHC has decided the case of Chairman WAPDA.
