LHC disposes of drug smugglers case

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has disposed of bails of six drug smugglers and accepted bails of four drug smugglers due to drug smuggling in very small quantity. Under the supervision of Justice Waqas Rauf Mirza two members bench heard the bails applications of appellant.

The counsel of appellants Ghulam Fareed, Manzoor Ahmed, Zeshan Ali, Liaqat Ali, Shahbaz Anwar and Babar authorities have registered fake cases against the appellants and he was plead before the court for bail in drug smuggling case.

The counsels of appellant argued before the court that the police had not eye witness and registered baseless cases of drug smuggling against the appellant. The counsels prayed before the court for bails of the appellant.

Deputy Proctor General Rana Shafiqe and Nuzhat Bashir presented the record of cases and argued that the cases of drug smuggling are registered in the different districts of Lahore, Faisalabad and others.

Adding more that these accused are record holders and huge quantity of illegal drugs recovered from him. After hearing the arguments Lahore High Court (LHC) has dispose of bails of the drug smugglers.

On the other side the counsel of appellants Batool Bibi, Intezar Hussain, Waqas Ahmed and Jamal Khan argued that the very small quantity of drugs recovered from the accused.

After scrutiny of the record Lahore High Court (LHC) accepted the bails of four accused and order to release him.
