LHC extends bail of collector Amir Rasheed, two others till 8th December

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has extended the bails of collector of customs and three others till 8th December in customs duty evasion case and ordered to compile all applications regarding this case.

According to details, two members bench of Lahore High Court comprising Justice Tariq Mehmood Abbasi and justice Mirza Waqas Rauf has heard the bail application of customs collector Amir Rashid where the prosecutor of National Accountability Bauru (NAB) Rana Mehmood argued before the court in the same reference the two other bail applications of suspect Syed Ali Abbas and Khalik Mehmood Chuadhary has been delaying and NAB has already submit the answer in suspect Amir Rasheed.

He added more that all three suspects are involved in the evasion of customs duty and found guilty in the investigation of NAB, further investigation under process so the bail applications must be dispose of.

On the other side the counsel of accused party argue before the court that the appellant has no link with the embezzlement of customs duty and NAB has registered a baseless case against his client. He appealed to the court for the acceptance of bail application.

After hearing the stance of both parties the court order to compile the all three bail applications and called both parties on 8th December for final arguments.
