LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected the application against the seven years conviction filed by a drug smuggler.
As per details, two members bench headed by Justice Alia Neelum heard the case of Ashiq Hussain where his counsel argued that trial court has decided the case on weak evidence, adding that no any independent witness was presented during the trial.
On the other hand, counsel for Anti-Narcotics Force Tariq Saleem Shiekh countered the views by saying that the ANF had arrested the accused red-handed while smuggling the drugs.
He further stated that culprit has also confessed during the interrogation that he used to smuggle drugs to other cities from Faisalabad.
The court after hearing the arguments rejected the application of the convicted person.
