LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has accepted the bail plea of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Shaukatulla Bangish who has been nominated by National Accountability Bureau in a case of Rs 980 million fraud.
Yesterday, the LHC division bench comprising Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa and Justice Furrukh Gulzar Awan heard the case in which the counsel for accused argued that NAB has arrested Shaukatulla Bangish on August 9 following baseless evidences.
It was also argued that Bangish had sold the Qaser-e-Zoke, his property in Liberty, to Asian Gas Company instead of committing any fraud.
After hearing the arguments, the court accepted the bail plea of the accused against Rs 100,000 surety bond.
