LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) suspended the implementation notification of agriculture income tax and sought reply from provincial government within two weeks.
According to details, Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan heard the case of agriculture income tax case filed by Mehmood Muzaffar, during the hearing the counsel of appellant argued that the on one side government has announced relief package for the formers and other side issuing income tax notices.
In his petition the petitioner said that the district government officers are sending notices to farmers without assessment of income to put pressure on them.
He appealed before the court to stop implementation on the income tax notification and income tax collection by the district government.
After hearing of arguments the court suspended implementation on agriculture income tax collection and sought the answer from Punjab government within two weeks.
