LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has suspended all notices issued by the Punjab Revenue Department to over 100 land owners for the payment of agriculture tax.
Justice Ayesha A Malik heard the plea filed by Tahir Abbas. The counsel from appellants prayed the court that the Punjab Revenue Department issued notices to over 100 land owners. He further said that agriculture tax is applicable on a land of more than 12 acres but these notices were issued without any justification.
He prayed to the court to declare all these notices as null and void. After listening to the arguments, the court directed to suspend these notices.
