LHC takes notice of oxygen shots therapy: DCO Lahore Usman urges to declare it narcotic

LAHORE: Lahore High Court justice Farrukh Irfan Khan has taken notice of ‘Oxygen Shots’ at cafés and sought reply from the district coordination officers across the Punjab.

The judge placed this order while hearing a petition filed by a café at MM Alam road challenging action taken by the district administration for serving Oxygen shots.
Oxygen Shots is a therapy used for energy boosting and relaxing.

During the course of hearing, DCO Lahore Muhammad Usman appeared in the court and said that the use of oxygen shots was seriously health hazard and the use of these shots could prove to be fatal.
The DCO further said that the oxygen shots should be declared a narcotic.

The judge directed the DCO to take strict action against the cafes serving oxygen shots.
The court also directed the DCOs to submit reports on cafes serving oxygen shots.

The judge also sought assistance attorney general on the matter.
The court will resume hearing on March 03.
