LHC to hear Ayyan Ali’s acquittal plea today

LAHORE:  Justice Abdul Sami Khan of the Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear the acquittal plea filed by super model Ayyan Ali today.

Sources told Customs Today that advocate Sardar Latif Khan Khosa, ex-governor Punjab, has filed the plea on behalf of the model Ayyan Ali. In her plea, Ayyan Ali challenged the verdict of the Customs Court in which her acquittal plea was dismissed. She adopts the stance in her plea that the charges leveled against her in money laundering case are baseless. She further pleaded the court to acquit her from all charges.

Earlier Ayan Ali’s application for returning of her passports has approved by the Customs and Taxation Court of Rawalpindi and she has paid guarantee of one million rupees to get back her passports.

It pertinent to mention here that interior Ministry of Pakistan has also included  name of Ayan Ali in Exit Control List (ECL) on application of Customs.
