Alcohol recovery case: Customs’ court grants bail to three accused

LAHORE: The Customs Taxation and Anti Smuggling Special Court has granted bail to three accused in alcohol recovery case.

A bail plea was submitted in Special court of Customs Taxation and Anti smuggling by the accused on Saturday. After hearing arguments from both sides, court granted bail on guarantee of millions of rupees.

Customs Lahore had recently recovered the smuggled liquor from the private bar in Lahore.

According to details, three accused involved in running illegal private bar in Defense area of Lahore were arrested by the Customs intelligence. The Anti Smuggling Organization team had conducted operation and seized 620 units of foreign origin liquor worth Rs 1.8 million, arresting three accused including supplier javaid Alfred, Buta and Amir Malik.

On Friday all accused were presented to Court of Customs and Taxation where Judge Nazeer Ahmad Gunjana sent them on judicial remand for fourteen days. During judicial remand, accused moved court to get bail which was granted.
