Loadshedding, heatstrokes: LCCI lauds Centre for overcoming situation in Karachi

LAHORE: The local business community has lauded the federal government’s efforts in Karachi after deaths of hundreds of people due to heatstrokes and loadshedding.

Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) President Ijaz A Mumtaz said that it is a matter of satisfaction that the federal government is utilising its all resources to overcome the situation.

He said: “The federal government is doing a lot to move the things in a right direction and a round table conference would do a great help to evolve a well-planned strategy.”

Mumtaz urged the heads of government of all provinces to sit together and prepare a plan to help the people of the economic capital of the country. The entire nation was in deep pain due to deaths of people in Karachi, he said. Ijaz A Mumtaz said the government would have to control power and water scarcity issues throughout the country and only solution was the maximum water reservoirs.
