LAHORE: The Special Customs Court of Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has declared an accused, Ameer Ihsan, a proclaimed offender for not attending court hearing since long.
As per the details, a case had been registered against the accused under Section 156 of the Pakistan Customs Act, 1969, by the Model Customs Collectorate Sialkot in June 2013.
However, the accused was not attending the court since registration of the case despite issuance of many notices to Ihsan to ensure appearance in person before the court, but he failed to comply with the instructions.
Taking legal action, Special Judge Nazeer Ahmad Gunjana declared the accused, Ameer Ihsan, a resident of Gujranwala, a proclaimed offender and ordered him to appear before the court within 10 days to avoid further legal proceedings.
