LSE gains 1.77 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange has witnessed bullish trend by gaining 1.77 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5083.80 points and closed at 5085.57 points.

The market’s overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 3.190 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.556 million shares, showing a downward slide of 366,500 shares.

While, out of the total 103 active scrips 25 moved up, 19 shed values and 59 remained equal. The major gainers of the day were Highnoon Laboratories Limited, Engro Fertilizers Limited and Treet Corporation Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 6.92, Rs 1.73 and Rs 0.79 respectively. Nishat Mills Limited, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Nishat (Chunian) Limited lost their per share value by Rs 6.19, Rs 4.90 and Rs 1.70 respectively. Top three Volume Leaders of the day included NIB Bank Limited with 739,000 shares, Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 524,000 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 460,500 shares.
