LSE gains 12.20 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 12.20 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5200.73 points and closed at 5212.93 points.

The market’s overall situation also corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.972 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.925 million shares, showing an upward move of 2.046 million shares. While, out of the total 136 active scrips 41 moved up, 14 shed values and 81 remained equal.

The major gainers of the day were Mari Petroleum Company, Engro Corporation Limited and Highnoon Laboratories Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 11.24, Rs 8.74 and Rs 6.24, respectively. Engro Foods Limited, National Bank of Pakistan and Fauji Fertilizer Company lost their per share value by Rs 4.79, Rs 0.70 and Rs 0.67, respectively. Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Lafarge Pakistan Cement Limited with 1.164 million shares, Dewan Salman Fibre Limited with 889,000 shares, and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 312,500 shares.
