LSE gains 56.16 pts

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 56.16 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5624.49 points and closed at 5680.65 points.

The market’s overall situation also corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.446 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.279 million shares, showing an upward move of 2.167 million shares. Out of the total 91 active scrips, 11 moved up, 42 shed values and 38 remained equal.

The top three major gainers of the day were Fazal Textile Mills Limited, Masood Textile Mills Limited and Honda Atlas Cars (Pak) Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 27.35, Rs 6.40 and Rs 1.33 respectively.

Mari Petroleum Company, Engro Corporation Limited and Pakistan Oil Fields Limited were among top three, which lost their per share value by Rs 27.61, Rs 9.25 and Rs 6.45 respectively. Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 2.158 million shares, KASB Bank Limited (Platinum) with 332,000 shares and Silk Bank Limited with 138,500 shares.
