LSE looses 129.86 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange witnessed bearish trend on Monday by losing 129.86 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5120.64 points and closed at 4990.78 points.

The market’s overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.169 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.203 million shares, showing an upward move of 965,500 shares. While, out of the total 109 active scrips 11 moved up, 41 shed values and 57 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited, Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited and Samba Bank Limited (R1) by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 2.16, Re 1.00 and Re 1.00 respectively. Treet Corporation Limited, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Lucky Cement Limited lost their per share value by Rs 6.38, Rs 5.88 and Rs 5.69 respectively. Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 705,000 shares, The Bank of Punjab (R1) with 603,500 shares and NIB Bank Limited with 273,000 shares.
