LSE witnesses bullish trend, gains 2.41 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here on Wednesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 2.41 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 6231.82 points and closed at 6234.23 points.

The market’s overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.314 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.390 million shares, showing a downward slide of 76,300 shares. While, out of the total 99 active scrips 27 moved up, 16 shed values and 56 remained equal.

The top three Major Gainers of the day were Honda Atlas Cars (Pak) Limited, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 8.75, Rs 8.05 and Rs 3.50 respectively.

Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Hascol Petroleum Limited and Engro Corporation Limited were among top three, which lost their per share value by Rs 8.50, Rs 1.60 and Rs 1.15 respectively. Top three Volume Leaders of the day included NIB Bank Limited with 836,500 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 316,000 shares and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited with 221,000 shares.
