LTBA terms Federal Budget 2017-18 a number game

LAHORE: The Lahore Tax Bar Association (LTBA) has termed the Federal Budget 2017-18 a technical number gimmick.

During a meeting held here, LTBA President Ch Qameruz Zaman reacting against the Federal Budget 2017-18 said that the federal government has not implemented suggestions given by the LTBA on sales tax.

He said that the budget was not up to the expectations of the common people as they were not given any relief. He added that the budget was nothing more than the technical number gimmick played by the bureaucracy.

On the occasion LTBA Vice President Shahbaz Siddique, Finance Secretary Rana Mubasshar Hussain Joint Secretary Syed Irfan Haider Shah former LTBA President Rana Munir Hussain, Former Vice President Arif Latif, Amir Rehman, Farooq Majeed, Mirza Attiqur Rehman, Rana Zulfiqar,  Asif and others were also present on the occasion.

They appealed the government to review the suggestion forwarded by Lahore Tax Bar Association regarding sales tax.
