Mansur Ahmed elected SCCI president unopposed

SIALKOT: Maj (r) Mansur Ahmed was elected as president of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) unopposed;  Sarfraz Ahmed Butt and Syed Ehtesham Gillani were elected as Senior Vice President and Vice President of SCCI, respectively unopposed. Annual elections of SCCI completed here on Tuesday. These newly elected SCCI office bearers belonged to ruling Ittehad Founders’ Group.

Earlier, the ruling Ittehad Founders Group won all the five seats of Corporate Class and all the five seats of Associate Class by knocking out rival Democratic Founders’ Group, which could not win even a singly seat in these polls.

Majid Raza Bhutta, Abdul Ghafur Malik, Saad Bin Imtiaz, Mian Imran Akbar and Shehzada Zeeshan Zeb Mirza were elected as SCCI Corporate Class Executive Class members.

Maj (Retd) Mansur Ahmed, Adnan Arshad Sethi, Mian Babar Ali, Ashir Elahi and Umer Khalid against opposition’s Mirza Ayaz Baig, Muhammad Iqbal Asad, Zarar Ahmed Dar, Rehan Bin Tahir Mughal and Muhammad Tahir Siddique were elected as members of SCCI Associate Class with a big margin of votes.
