Appraisement East collects Rs 28.089b taxes/duties in September

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate MCC Appraisement East collected at least Rs 28.089 billion taxes/duties under various heads during the month of September 2015, showing 124 percent increase against the set target.

According to statistics available with the Customs Today, the MCC Appraisement East collected Rs 7,906 million under the head of customs duty, while Rs 16,388 million under the head of sales tax, Rs 3,688 million as income tax and Rs 108 million under head of federal excise duty in the month of September 2015.

Significantly, the MCC Appraisement East collected Rs 8,340 million on the last working day of September 2015 i.e. September 30 that include Rs 1,622 million under the head of customs duty; Rs 6,336 million under head of sales tax; Rs 372million as income tax and Rs 10 million as federal excise duty

At all, the MCC Appraisement East has so far collected Rs 75,031 million taxes/duties since August 1 to September 30, 2015 that include Rs 21,987 million under head of customs duty; Rs 40,449 million as sales tax; Rs 12,222 million as income tax and Rs 373 million under head of federal excise duty.
