FBR Chairman to make major reschuffling in field formations soon

ISLAMABAD: After high-level transfers and posting of officials of grade-20 and grade-21, the new chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is considering making new postings and transfers in field formations and specially in Inland Revenue Department.

Sources told Customs Today that those officials whose performance is not satisfactory will be transferred. While in field formations, all those officials will be transferred who were failed to achieve required revenue target.

Sources said that after these transfers and postings, chief commissioners and commissioners will be transferred. Some major reshuffling is also expected in FBR headquarters in Islamabad. Sources told this scribe that chief commissioners of Peshawar, Quetta, Karachi, Sargodha and Sialkot will also be transferred in near future.

Sources said that these transfers will be made after considering their previous four months performance. Chairman FBR will approve all transfers and postings after consultation with Members Inland Revenue Operations Dr. Mohammad Irshad and Member Administration Waqar Ahmad.
