Malaysia police seize drugs worth 500k

KUANTAN: Police nabbed three men and seized drugs worth RM523, 575 in two separate raids early this week.

Pahang Criminal Investigation Department (Narcotics) chief Superintendent Lam Thiam Huat said in the first raid on Wednesday in Pekan, two men aged 43 and 32-years-old were arrested.

“Upon further inspection, police found 2.3kg of heroin worth RM339,600 and 93.9grams of syabu worth RM23,475 in their Volvo car.

“In the second raid held yesterday at a petrol station here, police seized 5,350 horse pills worth RM160, 500 in a plastic bag from a 22-year-old man’s car,” he said.

Lam said the three suspects were remanded to facilitate the case, which is being investigated under Section 39(B) of the Dangerous Drugs Act for distributing drugs.
