Malaysian police confiscated 1.12kg ketamine worth RM44,800

KUALA LUMPUR: Police seized 1.12kg of ketamine and arrested a couple following a raid at Taman Syukur here the other day.

State Narcotics chief Assistant Commissioner Yap Thoon Khuan said in the 11.20am raid at the couple’s rented premises, the drugs, which had a street value of RM44,800 were found stashed in a bag. “The 30-year-old man, who had a past record, works as an electrician,” he told a news conference at the state police contingent today.

“His 38-year-old girlfriend had two arrest warrants against her for cheating related cases in Kuala Lumpur,” he added. Both suspects who tested positive for amphetamine had been remanded for seven days until May 12.
