KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian regulators have released a new set of departure-tax rates that will ensure fees paid by passengers of Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) and AirAsia will be the same on most routes. The Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) said the rate categories with one important exception—will apply equally to carriers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s two terminals. MAB uses the main terminal known as KLIA, while AirAsia uses KLIA2.
