MANGALURU: Officials of Customs at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) at Kenjar here on Sunday seized 464grams of gold that was concealed in the form of washer attached to the inner lining of a gray colour stroller bag. The value of the gold in the possession of Mohammed Mogral, passenger, seized is Rs 12.20 lakh.
N Udayashankaran, assistant commissioner of Customers said the accused is a resident of Thaiba Manzil, TVS Road, Mogral post office of Kumble in Kasargod district, who carried the gold in his checked in baggage, Mohammed arrived at MIA by Air India flight IX 816 from Abu Dhabi. Further investigation is under progress.
