Mardan I&I foils attempt to smuggle 20kg hashish

MARDAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation foiled an attempt to smuggle twenty kilograms of hashish.

Sources told Customs Today that the seizure carried out at Canal Road mardan when a vehicle was intercepted by Customs I&I team.

Upon checking the car, the customs team recovered 20 kilograms fine quality hashish packed in hidden portion of the car.

The Customs inspector said smuggling of hashish usually increases at the start of winter for which strict measures have been taken to curb traffic of drugs.

The hashish usually comes from from Afghanistan to Tirah valley, Landi Kotal, Bara, Parachinar and other areas.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Mardan region filed FIR against the accused smuggler and took the car into custody.

It is necessary to mention here that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Arsalan Subuctageen directed all anti-smuggling squads to use all available resources to curb smuggling in the region.
