Margallah Dry Port processes 2494 GDs & clears 2994 imported containers during nine months

ISLAMABAD: The Margallah Dry Port Islamabad processed 2494 Goods Declarations (GDs) and cleared 2994 containers of imports during three Quarters (July to March) FY17-18.

According to details explained by sources of the Islamabad Dry Port (IDP) that, during above said period, the IDP showed satisfactory performance and maintained surplus revenue performance. During the month of March FY17-18, the IDP processed 180 GDs while cleared 250 imported containers.
The IDP processed 173 GDs and cleared 215 containers during February FY17-18 while processed 344 GDs and cleared 400 consignments during the month of January FY17-18. It was added that the IDP processed 351 GDs whereas cleared 410 containers in December FY17-18.
The IDP filed 231 GDs while cleared 279 containers during the month of November FY17-18, although IDP processed 289 GDs whereas cleared 369 containers during the month of October FY17-18. The IDP filed 264 GDs while cleared 320 containers during September FY17-18. The IDP Islamabad processed 344 GDs and cleared 368 containers during the month of August FY17-18 as well as the IDP processed 318 GDs and cleared 355 containers during July FY2017-18.
