Maryam paying taxes on declared assets: Musadik

ISLAMABAD: Spokesman to the Prime Minister, Dr Musadik Malik, has said Maryam Safdar is self-independent and paying taxes on her declared assets.

Lawyers of Sharif family had presented documented evidences before the Supreme Court that she was self independent and paying taxes, he said speaking in a TV programme. He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had not presented any documented evidence before the court.

Dr Musadik said the discussion was held in the Supreme Court’s proceeding only on evidences presented by Sharif family’s lawyers because PTI lawyers failed to do so. He said PTI had adopted a political strategy to level baseless allegations on the government to do politics in the country.

After defeat in general election 2013, PTI was just doing politics on baseless issues including rigging and corruption, he said Replying to a question, he urged media to do responsible journalism in the country and avoid baseless criticism on others for point scoring.
