MCC-East to hold auctions of impounded commodities on Sept 25-26

KARACHI: Pakistan Customs has decided to hold auctions of the impounded vehicles and other commodities including shed lights, fire brakes, chemicals, tyre cuttings, scrape, papers and aluminium fillings under the supervision of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC)-East.

According to a notification issued by the East Wharf Deputy Collector, the auctions will be held on two consecutive days at Pak Shaheen on September 25 and 26.

The participants who want to take part in the auctions will have to deposit 25 per cent advance payment of the total amount of the auctioned commodities, the notification added.

Meanwhile, auction of the containers filled with different commodities including shed lights, fishing nets, rubber sheets, dialysis machines, furniture was held on September 23 at NLCCT.

It is pertinent to mention here that MCC-West Collector Muhammad Saleem has already stated that the Pakistan Customs in order to improve revenue generation status would hold at least two auctions in a month.
