Customs Exports Quetta surpasses revenue target by 147pc in FY 2014-15

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate-Exports Quetta has surpassed the revenue collection target of Rs 979.70 million for the fiscal year 2014-15 by successfully collecting Rs 1402.74 million in the fiscal year.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had tasked the MCC-Export Quetta to collect Rs 979.70 million revenue under the head of customs duty in the fiscal year 2014-15.

And, with the efforts of the MCC-Export officials, the revenue was surpassed by at least 147 percent more, sources told Customs Today.

During the fiscal year 2013-14, a target of Rs 2634.38 million was given however only Rs 763.75 million was achieved that showed a major shortfall in the revenue.

However this time, the MCC-Quetta made extraordinary efforts as it collected Rs 448.26 million in the month of June 2015 and a collection of Rs 80.52 million was made on the last day of the outgoing fiscal year 2014-15.
