Hyderabad Customs Exports skips revenue target by 47 percent in FY 2014-15

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate-Exports Hyderabad has failed to achieve the revenue collection target of Rs 5491.27 million for the fiscal year 2014-15.

The collectorate achieved revenue of Rs 2,601.48 million reflecting a shortfall of at least 47 percent, it is learnt. The MCC Hyderabad was supposed to collect customs duty and achieve target of Rs 5,491.27 million.

As per the data gathered, MCC-Hyderabad collected Rs 437.74 million in June 2015 and Rs 215.99 million on the last day of the fiscal year 2014-15, June 30, 2015.

During the fiscal year 2013-14, the FBR had set a target of Rs 5883.97 million customs duty however the Collectorate failed to achieve the target and the last year’s collection stood at Rs 4351.75 million.
