ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad earned a surplus amount of Rs153million against the assigned revenue target under all the heads during first three weeks of November Financial Year 2017-18. The Collectorate of Islamabad received surplus revenue of Rs283million under all the heads against the collection during first three weeks of corresponding three weeks of November FY16-17.
According to details given by sources of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad that, during first three weeks of November FY17-18, the MCC Islamabad surpassed all the heads except Federal Excise Duty (FED). The sources told CT that, during said period, the MCC Islamabad generated Rs358.68million of Customs Duty (CD) against the allocated proportional target of Rs345.52million. The sources added that the collectorate got extra revenue of Rs13.16million as CD during said period.
The sources further told CT that, during first three weeks of November, the collectorate of Islamabad collected Rs448.92million of Sales Tax (ST) against the earmarked proportional target of Rs295.27million. The MCC Islamabad earned extra revenue of Rs153.65million against the assigned target for the same period under said head.
Official source informed Customs Today that the MCC Islamabad received Rs207.23million of Income Tax (IT) during three weeks of November FY17-18 against the allocated target of Rs163.46million. The collectorate generated extra revenue of Rs43.77million as IT against the earmarked proportional revenue target under the same head during said period.
The collectorate generated Rs10.31million of FED during three weeks of November FY17-18 against the assigned proportional target of Rs68.10million. Sources said the MCC Islamabad faced a shortfall of Rs57million against the allocated proportional revenue target as FED during three weeks of November FY17-18.
