MCC Islamabad stands surplus with Rs21m revenue during 15 days of November

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad generated Rs21million additional revenue against an assigned proportional revenue collection target during 15 days of November of Financial Year 2017-18. The collectorate was earmarked a proportional revenue target of Rs581million whereas it received Rs602million of all duties and taxes during above said period.

According to details given by sources of the MCC Islamabad, the Collectorate of Islamabad showed 48.38% growth against the allocated monthly revenue collection target of all taxes while the collectorate achieved 104% growth against an assigned proportional revenue target for 15 days of November FY17-18. During the same period of corresponding Financial Year 2016-17, the Collectorate of Islamabad collected Rs537.96million of all duties and taxes.
The sources told CT that, during first 15 days of November FY17-18, the Collectorate of Islamabad got Rs158.69million as Customs Duty (CD) whereas it earned Rs186.22million of CD during the same period of November FY16-17.
The sources stated that the collectorate generated Rs302.61million as Sales Tax (ST) while it did Rs172.80million of revenue under the same head during first 15 days of FY16-17. During first 15 days of November FY17-18, the Customs Collectorate Islamabad received Rs132.55million of Income Tax (IT) whereas it did Rs90.61million under the same head from 1st to15th of November FY16-17.
The Islamabad Customs Collectorate got Rs9.03million as Federal Excise Duty (FED) during initial 15 days of November FY17-18 while the collectorate collected Rs88.33million during the same period of FY2016-17.
