ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad collected extra revenue of Rs22.66million of all duties and taxes during the initial 14 days of September Financial Year (FY) 2017-18 against the same period of last September FY 16-17.
The Collectorate received Rs356.77million during the 1st to 14th of September FY17-18 under all the tax heads while it earned Rs334.11million against the collection of the same period of corresponding FY16-17.
According to details given by Saeed Khan Jadoon, Collector MCC Islamabad, that Islamabad Collectorate achieved an average of 33.67% against the allocated revenue target of all duties and taxes for the month of September FY17-18.
The collector told CT that, during initial 14 days of September FY17-18, the MCC Islamabad generated Rs114.26million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas it did Rs167.59million as Sales Tax (ST). The MCC Islamabad received R74.83million of Income Tax (IT) while it did Rs0.08million as Federal Excise Duty (FED).
The collector added that the customs of the MCC Islamabad is working hard to surpass its assigned target for the 1st quarter (July to September) FY17-18.
