MCC Islamabad stays surplus with Rs13m Income Tax during 21 days of August

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad generated a surplus amount of Rs13.00million of Income Tax (IT) during the 1st to 21st of August FY 2017-18 against the revenue collection of the same period of August FY2016-17.

The Collectorate of Islamabad received Rs165.42million as IT during the 1st to 21st of August FY17-18 while it did Rs153.11million under the same head during the initial 21 days of August FY16-17.
According to details given by sources of MCC Islamabad that, during above said period, the collectorate got Rs753.84million as All Duties and Taxes during the initial 21 days of August FY17-18 whereas it did Rs782.80million during the same period of corresponding FY16-17.
The sources told CT that the MCC Islamabad collected Rs215.02million of Customs Duty (CD) during the initial 21 days of August FY17-18 while it did Rs276.80million under the same head during August FY16-17. The sources further said the MCCI earned Rs350.52million of Sales Tax (ST) during the 1st to 21st of August FY17-18 whereas it did Rs311.89million during the same period of FY16-17.
Sources said that, during early 21 days of August FY17-18, the collectorate of Islamabad generated Rs165.42million of IT against the collection of Rs153.11million as IT during the same period of previous FY16-17. During the first 21 days of August FY17-18, the MCC Islamabad received Rs22.89million of Federal Excise Duty (FED) whereas it did Rs40.93million under the same head of 1st to 21st of August FY16-17.
